Our Children's Minister:
Steven Hicks and his wife Kelly live in Woodstock, Alabama. They have two daughters and one son; Sarah Anne (11), Emma Grace (10) and Jonah (5). Steven grew up in Fairfield, Alabama and graduated from Bessemer Faith Academy in 1989. Steven completed his Bachelors Degree in Theology with a minor in Christian Counseling from Southeastern Bible College. Steven's main interests while in college were Christian Counseling and Children's/Family Ministry. Steven and Kelly met while working for the same employer back in 1988. They were married on November 23, 1991. Steven was saved in 1995 at SonRise Baptist Church in Woodstock, Alabama. He was called to bi-vocational ministry at the age of thirty. Steven has worked for The University of Alabama at Birmingham in the Center for Biophysical Sciences and Engineering for over 20 years building research hardware to support NASA space flight programs. Steven enjoys spending time with his family and Labrador Retrievers, hunting, fishing, boating and carpentry projects.
