Meet our Pastor
Dr. Kevin Blackwell
Dr. Kevin Blackwell was called as the pastor of Valley Creek in August of 2005. He has been in ministry since 1992 serving churches in the Bessemer area in a number of roles. He has a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from Samford University, a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and received his Doctorate from NOBTS. He met his wife Lorrie in 1994 through mutual friends and they married on August 5, 1995. They have four children; Maggie 12, Andie, 10, and Averie 7, and Brodie 6. When he is away from the church he enjoys running, golf, video games, dates with Lorrie, Alabama football, and spending time with his girls.
