About Us
Our Church's Mission Statement
Valley Creek Baptist Church exists to minister to the families of Hueytown, Alabama. We will accomplish this through sharing Christ’s love, spiritually equipping believers, strengthening families and serving others.
Sharing Christ’s Love- Evangelism
In accordance to the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 Valley Creek Baptist Church strives to lead people into a saving relationship with Jesus. The Great Commission is our calling and the Holy Spirit is the empowering of the gospel witness. Thus, out of obedience to Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit we will display a great love for people and a great interest in their eternal destination.
Spiritually Equipping Believers- Discipleship
In accordance with John 15:5 Valley Creek Baptist Church strives to lead people in an “abiding” relationship with Jesus. Jesus said, “those who remain in me and I in them, will produce much fruit.” As followers of Jesus Christ we make it our life calling to grow in this relationship. As the branch grows from the vine so we grow in our relationship with Jesus. This church will lead people to spiritual growth through equipping them to devote time for biblical studies, prayer and regular church attendance.
Strengthening Families- Family Enrichment
Knowing the importance of family life in our community, Valley Creek Baptist Church seeks to create and maintain a family focused church in which every member of the family will experience dynamic life enrichment. In accordance to the biblical examples found in Acts of families experiencing salvation (Acts 10, Acts 16:15, 16:34), we strive to do the same here in our community. Also, the church seeks to support families through offering enrichment opportunities.
Serving Others- Ministry
Valley Creek Baptist Church seeks to “fan into flames the spiritual gift” (2 Timothy 1:6) that God has given to the members of this body. Once the members realize their giftedness then the church will give opportunities of ministry to use that gift in service to others. The whole body is edified as the members utilize their gifts.
